Oh Sweets Natural Skin Care will provide the following instruction for Parent and Student Engagement for Test-Taking Strategies paired with a hands on product creation for stress relief with key takeaways for students to feel empowered and prepared to master the standards and skills on their State Tests.

For engagement parents and students will:

Explore ways to reduce stress and encourage healthy habits through a wellness workshop with soap and bath salt creation using aromatherapy. We will focus on relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, visualization, or mindfulness to help manage test anxiety.

Incorporate Healthy Habits: Ensuring students get enough sleep, eats a healthy diet, and exercises regularly is vital. Physical health significantly impacts cognitive function and academic performance. The products that the parents and students create in this workshop promote healthy habits to get a good night’s sleep and relaxation in preparation for testing day.  

Effective test-taking strategies that parents can help their students implement:

Start with Organization: Encourage your child to organize study materials, notes, and textbooks well before the test. Help them create a study schedule leading up to the test date.

Understand Test Format: Familiarize your child with the format of the test they will be taking. Knowing the structure of the test can help them prepare better.

Practice, Practice, Practice: Practice tests are invaluable. Help your child find practice tests online or create your own based on past exams. Regular practice can help reduce test anxiety and improve performance.
