Honored to be a featured artist at "MULTIVERSAL" during Basel, New York based artist Prudence Groube decided to travel to Miami to create on site an 8 ft tall sculpture in the Kokeshi doll tradition based on the title character who frequents her work: MIMACHAN. Art Basel Miami Beach, a cultural and social highlight for the Americas, is considered
the most important art show throughout the United States.

Honored to be a featured artist at "MULTIVERSAL" during Basel, New York based artist Prudence Groube decided to travel to Miami to create on site an 8 ft tall sculpture -in the Kokeshi doll tradition - based on the title ÒcharacterÓ who frequents her work: MIMACHAN.

Coming to life from a small character on paper and canvas, the MIMACHAN Kokeshi
doll is an acknowledgment and celebration of the courage of small voices taking action
and speaking out to transform our world.

Attendees at ÒMultiversalÓ were invited to record their thoughts and hopes for the
coming year onto the sculpture materials as they were woven into the creation of
MIMACHANÕs infamous red coat.

ÒGanbatteÓ is a Japanese expression that translates
as: Do your best.

MIMACHAN continues to do her best to fulfill the wishes placed in her trust
