SHAKER オーバルボックス天然木でつくられる美しい楕円のフリーボックスです。曲げわっぱ状の接合部のデザインがシェーカースタイルの特徴。スワロウテイルと呼ばれる燕尾形のスライスした木を組んでつくられています。無駄のないストイックなデザインは、時代を超えて愛用されています。5サイズ展開です。
18世紀後半から20世紀初頭のアメリカで生まれたシェーカーデザインは、キリスト教から派生したシェーカー教徒の人々が生活の中で生み出したスタイルです。祈りと労働の日々の中で生まれたシェーカーデザインの機能主義的なデザイン原理は、その後のデザイン運動にも大きな影響を与えています。
シンプルでナチュラル、そして機能的であること。時代を超えるデザインであり、長くつくり続けたい、そして使い続けたいと思える家具であること。シェーカー家具が持つ基本思想は、広松木工のものづくりの原点となっています。
