The Druz Slide Hammer is a refined tool designed specifically for paintless dent repair (PDR) professionals seeking precision, power, and comfort in dent pulling. Originally introduced at MTE 2012 as a polished aluminum-headed hammer, the tool has evolved significantly. The current version features upgraded materials and internal engineering innovations that make it a leading choice for modern glue pulling on steel and aluminum panels.

Overview of the Druz Slide Hammer

Since its introduction, the Druz Slide Hammer has become a trusted tool within the PDR community. The hammer balances power and control, allowing technicians to extract dents effectively without risking damage to delicate paint or metal surfaces.

Measuring 8 3/4 inches in its base length without weights and extending up to 14 inches when fully assembled with the large weight, this tool is compact enough for tight spaces while delivering the momentum necessary for tough pulls.

Its 3.5-inch stroke length is specifically tuned for optimal pulling force through weight momentum rather than excessive travel distance. This design gives technicians the ability to deliver smooth, consistent pulls that minimize the chance of overpulling or metal distortion.

Upgraded Materials for Durability and Performance

The Druz Slide Hammer features a stainless steel sliding mechanism that offers strength and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel also contributes to smooth sliding action with less friction and wear over time.

The head of the hammer is made from machined and brushed aluminum. This construction provides a solid, reliable grip on all major glue tabs, including the popular Atlas tabs, giving techs a wide variety of accessory options.

The upgraded materials are chosen to endure demanding daily use in harsh repair environments while maintaining consistent performance. This combination of stainless steel and aluminum also keeps the tool lightweight without sacrificing toughness.

Innovative Internal Engineering for Smooth Action

One of the most important improvements in the current Druz Slide Hammer is the internal slide mechanism. It incorporates rubber dampeners that soften the impact, reducing harsh snapping and resulting in a smoother pulling experience.

These rubber dampeners absorb some of the shock, protecting both the tool and the technician's hand from excessive vibrations. This results in less fatigue and more precise control during repetitive pulls on multiple dents.

Additionally, an integrated anti-pinch mechanism protects fingers from getting caught between moving parts. This feature enhances safety and comfort, allowing technicians to work longer with confidence.

Adjustable Weight System for Personalized Control

The Druz Slide Hammer’s modular weight system offers three different weight options to tailor the tool’s feel and pulling force according to job requirements:

  • Base weight only: 1 lb 14 oz (854g) — ideal for light pulls and tight spaces.

  • With small weight attached: 2 lb 4 oz (1003g) — a balanced option for medium-sized dents.

  • With large weight attached: 3 lb 2 oz (1422g) — delivers maximum momentum for stubborn dents.

Technicians can easily switch between weights depending on the size and location of the dent, panel material, and the desired pulling speed. This versatility makes the hammer suitable for a wide range of repairs, from hail damage to door dings.

Compact and Ergonomic Design

Despite its power, the Druz Slide Hammer is designed to be compact and ergonomic. The 8 3/4-inch base length without weights makes it easy to maneuver in cramped or awkward locations, such as inside door jambs or under vehicle trim.

When fully extended with the large weight, the tool reaches 14 inches, providing longer leverage and additional pulling power when needed. This adjustable length allows the technician to adapt the tool’s reach without compromising handling.

The ergonomic design also extends to the weight distribution, ensuring the hammer feels balanced in hand. This helps reduce wrist strain and enhances precision during use.

Compatibility and Versatility

The machined aluminum head on the Druz Slide Hammer is compatible with all major glue tabs on the market, including Atlas tabs. This broad compatibility allows technicians to use their preferred pulling accessories without limitation.

The tool is equally effective on aluminum and steel panels, making it a versatile choice for a variety of vehicle makes and models. Whether you are working on hail-damaged roofs or minor dents on doors, the Druz Slide Hammer adapts seamlessly.

Proven Track Record and Industry Trust

Since its debut at MTE 2012, the Druz Slide Hammer has been recognized for reliable performance and innovative design. Many professional PDR technicians have integrated this tool into their daily workflows, praising its combination of smooth action, adjustable weight, and durability.

The tool’s reputation is built on consistent quality and thoughtful engineering, making it a staple in professional PDR toolkits.

How the Druz Slide Hammer Enhances Your PDR Workflow

Using the Druz Slide Hammer allows technicians to:

  • Deliver smooth, controlled pulls with minimized risk of panel damage.

  • Adjust the tool’s weight to match specific dent repair needs.

  • Work comfortably in tight or awkward positions thanks to its compact size.

  • Reduce finger strain and fatigue with integrated safety features and dampeners.

  • Use with any standard glue tab, providing flexibility in repair techniques.

This tool supports faster repairs with better outcomes, increasing both technician productivity and customer satisfaction.

Maintenance and Care Tips

To keep your Druz Slide Hammer in peak condition:

  • Clean after each use to remove glue residue and dirt.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals that may degrade rubber dampeners.

  • Inspect weights and sliding components regularly for wear.

  • Store in a dry, protected area to prevent corrosion.

  • Periodically lubricate the sliding mechanism with a light, non-residue lubricant if needed.

Proper maintenance ensures smooth operation and extends the tool’s lifespan.

Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance
Color: Black&Silver, Color: Black&Silver
Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included. Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some! This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them. That’s it that’s all

TLDR: Buy it. It works well, it has impressive and useful features, it looks great, it’s thin/low-profile, and it’s a great price. Detailed review: I’m very happy with this scale, and it has certainly upped my espresso game by leaps and bounds. I’m able to weigh my beans very precisely down to a tenth of a gram (roughly the weight of a single bean), so my dosing is on point. Also, it fits beneath the portafilter with room to spare for my cup, so I can weigh my shots and accurately measure my input/output ratio. And automatic mode is magic! When the espresso hits the cup, the timer starts running, so I can measure flow rate along with everything else! Overall, super easy to use and very necessary for the at-home barista. One caveat: It acted weird on the 2nd or 3rd day, and I thought I was going to have to return it. The weight would slowly creep up even though I wasn’t adding any coffee. I dusted it off, made sure it was dry, set it on a more stable surface… I still don’t know what the matter was, but it stopped freaking out and it hasn’t really given me any trouble since. Also, I should mention that the automatic function doesn’t always work 100% perfectly; it works, and usually works quite well, but depending on the flow rate, you might get some drops dribbling into the cup and the timer not detect it right away. (I think the timer must be activated according to some sort of algorithm that looks for a certain increase in a certain amount of time, so a slower initial drip rate might not trigger it at first.) Also weirdly, it seems like about half of the time when the weight stops increasing (i.e., espresso stops flowing) , the timer pauses (as I think it’s supposed to do), but other times, the timer keeps running until you manually stop it. I don’t know… It’s a weird glitch, I guess, but it doesn’t really make any difference. The weight is accurate, and that’s the primary thing to keep an eye on. So, is it perfect? No, I guess not. But, it works extremely well and functions perfectly for my purposes. In fact, it’s a lot nicer and fancier than I expected – plus, it’s more affordable and more streamlined than its obvious rival the Acacia.

Excellent and super accurate
Color: Black, Color: Black
I had a precision oxo which was more expensive than this one but not great though, it would register .4 grams suddenly and not sensitive to the 1-2 bean increments. I bought this one for espresso specifically and man it is fantastic so accurate, super responsive, well built, size is great if you want to weigh your shot under your portafilter. I have a fellow series 1 and it’s amazing working with it. Overall highly recommend and for the price it’s amazing great value! Not sure why would I buy a bookoo for $130 or a fellow scale for $200. This one works great for $40

Just a tiny, accurate scale
Color: Black
Works flawlessly after I calibrated it compared to my other. Out of the box it was (very) off. Now it's within .1 of a gram. It's far more responsive than I expected. It's perfect for espresso and it's tiny so it fits on the smallest drip trays.
