The Bont Rip Jaws is a hot spot removal tool Bont invented this tool in 1976 and supplied them to some shops and distributors over the years but this is the first time that we are making the tool available to the public.

This tool is perfect for removing hot spots from the heel of carbon inline skates, ice speed skates, and roller skates. It also works for figure skates and ice hockey skates. You can use this boot stretching tool to stretch your boots wherever you feel pain.

The Bont Rip Jaws hot spot removal tool removes hotspots from your boots. A hot spot is an area of discomfort in your boot. Carbon fiber and fiberglass boots only have a very thin layer of padding between your foot and the hard carbon fiber. Sometimes blisters can occur and the Rip Jaws has been designed to stretch the area of discomfort out to make the boot comfortable to skate in.

Instructions:
1) Remove the laces from your skates
2) Heat the area of discomfort with a hairdryer for about 5 minutes or in the oven. Refer to your boot manufacturer's heat molding instructions. Click here for Bont heat molding.
3) Open the Rip Jaws and use the knob at the end of the handle to open it up widely.
4) Put the Rip Jaws over the problem area and use the same knob to tighten the screw.
5) Pull the handles together so it locks in place.
6) Wait a few minutes for the boot to cool and then unlock the Rip Jaws
You can do this process again if need be.
Remember that if you have a blister or a painful spot on your foot, it's best to let it heal before testing the boot because your foot will still feel painful if it has not healed.

      Not for aggressive chewers
      Size: 36 Inch
My GSD ate half of it within 20min before I caught her. I don’t think it was meant for aggressive chewers so I can’t fault the product for that. My dogs did have a few hours of fun with it playing tug and it held up well.

      Emotional Support Lizard
      Size: 15 Inch
This was my Goldendoodle puppy's first toy, and a year later, it's still his favorite. It was light enough for him to play with it at 9 pounds, but big enough that he still loves it at 40 pounds. He carries it around, slaps his brother with it, throws it and chases it, sleeps with it, etc. He enjoys his stuffies also, but he returns to this one repeatedly through the day, so I know he loves it. It's a bit discolored, but still fully intact. If you have a dog with a soft mouth who isn't prone to chewing, this toy is perfect. I've purchased extras to keep in the emergency supplies in both the house and the car.

Not for puppies or dogs who enjoy chewing toys.
      Size: 25 Inch
NOT FOR PUPPIES OR CHEWERS! If you have a dog that is teething or enjoys chewing on toys for soothing this is not the toy to buy. My 4 month old ate the sneak head off and the inside plastic ball squeaker was exposed and fell out and my puppy swallowed it. I tried to take it away from him but it was too late .. he already swallowed it. This caused serious vomiting days later in my pup. I’m not likely to leave negative reviews unless I truly have a horrific experience and this toy provided just that. 0 stars.

Good for kittens & cats too!
      Size: 15 Inch
Bought this for our new kitten, 5 months old, and didn't know if it was a good purchase or not. He loves it! He can chew on it, drag it around the house, interact with us too. And he hasn't lost or destroyed it. The only disappointment is the head squeaker stop working. The placard stated it would work even if bit. Not a big deal, though; kitten doesn't like the squeak. LOL
