Myrrh resin is derived from the sap of the Commiphora myrrha tree, and has been used for its medicinal and aromatic properties for thousands of years. In ancient times, myrrh was highly valued as a perfume and incense.

Today, it is used in aromatherapy, perfumery, and as an ingredient in natural cosmetics.

Myrrh is typically burned as incense or used in essential oil form for aromatherapy. It has a warm, earthy, and slightly bitter aroma, and is often blended with other essential oils like frankincense, lavender, and patchouli to create unique scents. Myrrh essential oil can also be applied topically to help soothe skin irritations and reduce This batch is rich in essential oils. If one wishes to powder this resin it will require some time in the freezer. An incense heater brings out all its luscious majesty, but burning it on a charcoal will work quite nicely too.
