This turbo inlet is the perfect addition to the Takeda intake. It removes the air flow restriction of the factory turbo inlet and guarantees the maximum air flow to the turbo for maximum power. It provides a smooth transition for the air from the Takeda air intake tube to the turbo with the minimum restriction. Precisely CNC machined out of 6061-T6 billet aluminum, the adapter mounts directly onto the turbo and guides the increased air flow from the Takeda intake into the turbo. It is black anodized for durability and a stealthy appearance. This turbo inlet utilizes a flexible silicone coupling that is reinforced with three layers of polyester material, making it resistant to wear and deterioration. The silicone coupling mates directly to the aluminum turbo adapter and the Takeda air intake tube. All necessary clamps are provided. All necessary clamps and hardware are provided for a fast and easy installation. The factory harness bracket mounts directly onto the aluminum adapter for perfect fitment. This item will only fit with Takeda air intake systems P/N: 56-10021D , 56-10021R, 56-70021D and 56-70021R . It will NOT fit with the factory air intake system. Fits well and installs easily.

This filter looked about the same as the OEM filter. It installed in about a minute. The quality appeared to be fine. It was protected in a cardboard box. It fit my 2014 Subaru Outback perfectly. I just installed it an hour ago so I don’t have any long term observations about longevity or effectiveness. I can’t see any reason why it would not work as well as the original, it seemed identical.
