Audiophile 180g Virgin Vinyl LP! Mastered from the Original Masters of Universal Music! Pressed at Pallas! Violinist Nathan Milstein performs compositional works by by Kreisler, Schumann, Handel & more. He is accompanied by pianist Leon Pommers. What the short story is to the novel, the 'encore' is to the standard work in the concert repertoire. It's plot, so to speak, is simple, it's content concise, it's point quickly made. And among it's attributes is the fact, well illustrated by Milstein's choices here, that it may be drawn from almost anywhere. It may be one movement of a longer work for the instrument, or a transcription of a piece originally composed for another instrument, or it may be - as in the curious case of the Kreiser 'Classical Manuscripts' - what has been delicately termed an 'impersonation'. Among other things, a collection of encores offers a bird's eye view of a performer's capabilities. In the case of Nathan Milstein, of course, any need for an evaluation of that kind has long since become superfluous. A recital such as the present one simply creates the opportunity of enjoying old favorites played by one of the great violists of our time. 'The execution is without doubt superb. Milstein here is on top of his form, playing with a verve, sparkle and studied virtuosity that is most invigorating. The recording in both mono and stereo versions is excellent, with very forward violin tone - sufficiently forward for one to feel that in all probability one will never get physically closer to Milstein's violin in one's life.' - Gramophone

A Must Have For The Beginner
Format: Kindle
So I've had an the opportunity to spend time with this book and I have to say that I'm very satisfied. Normally when you're reading tech books that claim to be for beginners they assume that you know things and skips steps, but this book doesn't do that. I went from being super intimidated about programming and back end development, but this book eases your mind and makes you feel like you can do anything. And after reading it you start looking at programming in a completely different way.
Pros:
* Easy to comprehend
* Well laid out
* The tone of the author is very pleasant and not boring at all
* Encourages you to experiment with what you've learned and encourages you to go out explore even further
* He makes you feel smart
* He makes you feel like you actually have a shot at being a paid developer
Cons:
* There were a few typos and some missing syntax in a few of the coding examples, but even with that being the case this book is still awesome
Once I land a gig here in the next three months it'll be thanks to this book and this amazing author. Thanks =)

A good book for beginners
Format: Paperback
Well I spent about 3 hours reviewing this book last night and I actually think I understood most of it. I still have a long way to go. And I’m not ready to call myself a software engineer any time soon. I think I would need to take about 3 college courses in software engineering and this book would be the first textbook.
I would recommend that the index be expanded. I would recommend a book on Python to go with this book.

Must have prior knowlege
Format: Paperback
After reading the reviews, it seemed like this was the perfect book to start learning about software engineering. Unfortunately, it is not. it assumes some program knowledge. I downloaded and installed Visual Studio Code, Ubuntu, and Docker Desktop. On page 22, it says to use the docker build command. I did, and I got a file or folder not found error. I've spent 4 hours searching the internet for an answer to this. I cant find it. This book is supposed to be written for absolute beginners. Apparently, it is not, as I, a beginner, am stuck 22 pages into it...
