Vanilla oil - properties
The oil is extracted from a beautiful and exotic plant - vanilla planifolia. The process is complicated and time-consuming - vanilla blooms once every 2-3 years and the flowering period is about 2 months, depending on environmental conditions. The flower opens for just one day, and must be hand-pollinated during this time so that fruit (known as beans) can grow.
