  • Lock and load your Kawasaki Ridge 1000 and get ready for some serious kick!  The Ridge 1000 is a great utility machine, but Kawasaki left a ton of room for improvement on the table.  This simple kit is the best way to wake up your Ridge 1000 as it comes with our proven ECU tunes which are loaded via the DynoJet Power Vision 3 ECU tuner.  The tunes add some amazing horsepower from low end to high end RPM and really give your machine that kick you're looking for.  Our AA Stage 1 clutch kit compliments the tuning perfectly by more efficiently transferring power to the wheels and ridding yourself of the very lazy factory clutching setup.
  • Kit includes: AA custom tuned PV3 tuner and Stage 1 Clutch Kit.
  • Big horsepower gains for standard 92HP models  and 116HP XR models!  Taking your ridge to an estimated 135HP crank horsepower.
  • 92HP Models:    The lower 92 horsepower models are very de-tuned which allows us to easily wake things up as the factory limits throttle and timing.  The Ridge 92HP models also use a smaller restrictor/spark arrestor in the exhaust.   While our tune still gains with the smaller OEM restrictor, we highly suggest removing the restrictor, purchasing the XR restrictor, or the best option is to purchase our exhaust.  See tune descriptions below and dyno graph images for horsepower results.
  • 116HP XR Models:  These are still de-tuned from the factory though much less than the 92HP models.  We still see excellent gains.  See tune descriptions below and dyno graph images for horsepower results.
  • Quicker throttle response and power delivery
  • Throttle by wire tables are modified for better response, especially in high range.  Low range throttle mapping is a little better, but still left mild for good crawling and towing
  • Smoother throttle mapping down low as OEM seemed to be jerky in all modes
  • Slightly increased idle speed to smooth engagement and keep the CVT engaged for more predictable engine braking.  We found models with AC and AC turned on constantly kicked the CVT system in/out of freewheel making it hard to control.  We tested some different clutching and found it could also be controlled this way, but it was much better to control this via the engine idle calibration.
  • Full throttle/power in reverse (factory limits reverse throttle)
  • AA's wicked timing curve - Switch fuel modes without having to re-flash:
    • Sport and Normal throttle mode: 91-93 Octane
    • Work throttle mode: 87+ octane (91 octane dyno graphs shown)
  • A great fuel curve that gives much better low end and all around more power as the factory map is very lean in key areas.
  • Accelerator enrichment is optimized for better fueling and vehicle response when stabbing the throttle
  • Fan on/off temp lowered to 185/180 degrees Fahrenheit (Stock is 189/183)
    • Winter tunes (runs hotter but safe coolant temps) available for those with cabs/heaters in cold climates. Easy to switch when seasons change!
    • Winter tunes (runs hotter but safe coolant temps) available for those with cabs/heaters in cold climates. Easy to switch when seasons change!
  • Optional seatbelt limiter disabled
  • Speed limiter removed
  • Rev limit at a safe 9800 RPM (Stock is 9500 RPM)
  • Best peak power when tuned is 7600-8000 RPM at wide open throttle in the 30-50 MPH range
  • Very easy to use tuner that can also check and erase most trouble codes
  • Easily data log 29 parameters with 1 push of a button and review on your Windows PC/laptop later
  • No mess of having to send in your ECU, and a safer way of programming your ECU (easily go back to stock tune)
  • Mount using the supplied dual lock Velcro
  • Level 1 Tune:  Built for the OEM exhaust and 91-93 octane.
    • Base Models:  Gains a solid +10 RWHP peak with +11-12 RWHP in the mid-range!  The AA S1 Clutch Kit is highly suggested with this tune and gains acceleration with an additional +10 RWHP in the mid-range!  This is +21 RWHP in the mid-range with just a tune and clutch kit!  Massive gains for a naturally aspirated machine.
    • XR Models:  Gains a solid +4-6 RWHP peak with +4-5 RWHP in the mid-range!  The AA S1 Clutch Kit is highly suggested with this tune and gains acceleration with an additional +15 RWHP in the mid-range!  This is +19-20 RWHP in the mid-range with just a tune and clutch kit!  Massive gains for a naturally aspirated machine.
  • Level 2 Tune:  Built for our (or other) aftermarket exhaust and 91-93 octane fuel.  The Ridge 1000 four cylinder loves to breathe and the AA slip-on muffler proves it with an additional +10-11 RWHP gained over our Level 1 tune and clutching.  This is +30-31 RWHP over stock in the mid-range and +20 RWHP peak!
  • If you have any specific tuning needs please let us know!
    • Why AA tunes over others?  We have been tuning UTV's with CVT clutches for a long time, longer than almost anyone in our field going back to the 800 RZR.  Tuning a CVT vehicle properly is not an easy task as you have so many variables at one time.  We spend the time to wheel dyno (with actual UTV tires) correctly per modification, and have advanced ECU calibration and clutching knowledge to do so. Every change in horsepower can result in us changing clutching several times. We also develop most of our supporting mods so we know everything works correctly, and build parts to fit the vehicles needs.  Lastly and honestly the most important; we then back up our results with real world data logging on local trails and our facility on 110 acres.  It's this combination that truly makes the difference and why AA normally has a faster vehicle with the same or less rated tune horsepower.
  • Our S1 Ridge clutch kit packs a huge punch!  No matter the terrain, they hit hard and just keep pulling for days.  On the farm, trail or at the race you'll notice wicked acceleration and instant clutch response when getting back into the throttle after hammering that corner.  In the dunes you'll see the same benefits, but also have much less bogging when climbing that big dune.  The machine will hold RPM so you can get where you need to go, and get there faster!  Going mudding?  Our mud setup will help turn those tires through the thick and deep with much better RPM and wheel speed that's key to climbing out of that hole. Are you a rock crawler?  Our smooth engagement and precise feel down low will give you the confidence to tackle any obstacle.  We have a huge amount of CVT knowledge, a great passion for the sport, and spent many hours testing different setups in the real world.  We know you'll be extremely pleased with the performance gain from our clutch kits!
  • The original Ridge clutch kit!  When Kawi first released the Ridge, we had one on order so we could quickly get to work.  After hundreds of different tests with weight profiles, clutch setups, and spring changes we found the best combination possible.
  • Overdrive Option:  These clutches do not shift fully and therefor your RPM runs high quickly at higher speeds.  Shifting further into overdrive helps give you more top speed, and higher speeds without so much RPM.  To do this, we had to design a custom weight profile with slightly added length.  We have two methods for this.  The best option is our billet  overdrive Revolver cover which allows the clutch to shift further and properly limit and this is much stronger than the cast OEM plate.   The second method is to use our overdrive washers to space your OEM cover out which works, but is a little more hassle to install and more parts to worry about... plus, the OEM cover is weak, so it's best to replace it if you can.
  • With the overdrive option we see around 76-79 MPH with our cruiser setup, and you can see 80-85 MPH with our standard or performance clutch weight setups
  • The Ridge has some clutching issues right out of the box because the OEM weighs are soft, just like the KRX models.  Being these vehicles are geared so low, the clutch constantly runs at full shift over 50 MPH.  Being at full shift for so long wears the weights away at the tip and will groove them.  This makes the vehicle want to sit at full shift and shift inconsistently.  Our weights go through two hardening processes and are through hardened for the most longevity possible.  Not only that, but they are fully adjustable for different tires/modifications and perform better because of how the mass is placed on the arm.  AA Ridge weights now come with a bushing design for an even smoother engagement over stock.
  • We have 3 different clutch weight configurations for your riding type, and they can be switched out when/if needed:
    • For reference, stock cruising RPM @ 50mph is normally 7700-8000 RPM
    • Standard clutch setup:  Our main clutch weight setup guide.  This is the best middle ground for belt grip, performance, and drivability.  Cruising RPM @ 50 MPH is typically  6200-6500.  Peak RPM at wide open should be 7600-7800.
  • Cruiser clutch weight setup:  On our clutch weight setup guide, it will list a cruiser option for those wanting to lower overall RPM to make the vehicle quieter. This is aimed at those that don't need every horsepower, but want a smoother/quieter ride.  Cruising RPM @ 50 MPH is typically 5500-5800.   Peak RPM at wide open should be 6300-6700.
  • All our performance setup:  Our clutch weight setup guide, it will list the all out performance setup which has you run the weight arms with no magnets.  This will give you maximum RPM/Performance from your ridge.  This will engage a little higher than the other setups and will run higher RPM all around, but will absolutely rip if that's what you are looking for.  Cruising RPM @ 50 MPH is typically 6500-7000.  Peak RPM at wide open should be 7800-8100.
  • Stage 1 clutch kit includes our AA Recoil magnetic adjustable bushing style clutch weights, AA red primary spring w/washer & setup guideline.
  • Our setup guideline will let you know how to set your weights for stock horsepower, tuned horsepower, 27-35" Tires, paddles & more.
  • Fully adjustable magnetic weights are easy to use and adjust
  • Adjustable from 85-109 grams
  • By design, our clutch weights have more tip weight mass with a more aggressive profile, so they grip the belt harder and accelerate faster... yet still crawl even better than OEM.
  • A must-have when changing tires, tuning your machine, or running paddles
  • Cooler running belt temps from a more efficient power transfer which results in longer belt and clutch life
  • Big acceleration gains and better power transfer to the rear wheels.
  • Close to stock engagement which is very smooth
  • Close to stock engagement which is very smooth
  • Our Recoil clutch weights are easily adjustable with simple magnets.  They have a custom AA profile, the BEST coating on the market (nitrocarburizing) which has increased wear resistance, improved fatigue strength, and added surface lubricity. These clutch weights also offer great performance, and the ability to tune for many different applications or modification in the future, without the need to buy extra parts.  The magnetic weights are the best option to properly place the mass where we need it on the weight for best performance for your application.
  • We found the stock secondary clutch to work very well, the S1 kit is just for the primary clutch.
  • Make sure you check peak RPM @ 30-50 MPH, it should be 7600-8000 RPM for peak performance.  See here on how to test:

Outstanding
Format: Kindle
In my opinion, slow-burn storylines are some of the hardest to pull off. Keeping readers engaged while they wait for that pivotal moment can be a true challenge. That’s why it’s so crucial to get it right — and Outdrawn absolutely does. There wasn’t a single moment when I lost interest. The plot felt refreshing, offering a welcome break from the often-used cheating tropes that dominate many romance novels. The author also excelled in character development. We got to witness the growth of both Pastel and Sage at a pace that felt natural. Their transformation unfolded seamlessly alongside the plot, leaving us with well-rounded, multifaceted characters. One of the things I especially appreciated about this book was how the main characters remained the focus. In many stories, the supporting cast often steals the spotlight, leaving you more invested in their stories. That wasn’t the case here. While the supporting characters — coworkers, family, etc. — were well-crafted and added depth, they didn’t overshadow the protagonists. The focus remained firmly on Pastel and Sage, and that was exactly what I wanted. Outdrawn was, without a doubt, the best book I read this month. And for once, TikTok didn’t disappoint when it came to recommending sapphic romance.

A must-read for my black queer ladies
Format: Paperback
This book delivered from start to finish. As a black, queer woman, it is hard to find relatable sapphic romance novels, so I was delighted to read this one. My thoughts are below in no particular order: I loved all the cultural references and the way the author describes these beautiful characters. The author did a great job developing the characters and the storyline. The enemy to crush to lover theme was a refreshing reprieve from the typical friends to lovers storyline I see so much in sapphic romance novels. The characters are very interesting - I was glad to see the author go with comic artists rather than your typical cliche careers. Both of the main characters, Noah and Sage, have very different upbringings, and each has her own personal issues going on in the background that they have to work through. This helped a lot with character development and I felt like I really got to know these ladies. The romance scenes are spicy and I was here for it! Some authors tend to dance around the love scenes, but this author did not spare any of the sultry details, using a chapter and a half to describe one encounter. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this book enough. It had me turning the pages all weekend long!

Sapphic Yearning at Its Best
Format: Paperback
4.5⭐️ rounded up Set in the same world as Rebekah Faubion’s debut THE LOVERS, we follow Cadence Connelly, park ranger and daughter of the enigmatic Madame Moira, as she finds out that her too-wild-to-be-tamed mother is getting married after only knowing the man for a few months. She travels home for the first time in years in an attempt to save the man from what she believes to be a con, only to find herself entranced by the man’s daughter, Sydney Sinclair. Sydney is also wildly suspicious of the engagement as she believed herself to be incredibly close with her father and it came as a complete surprise. The pair enter in a scheme to get to the bottom of the whirlwind engagement, but the chemistry between them may prove to be more of a distraction than they originally believed. It is not a secret that I was deeply obsessed with Rebekah Faubion’s debut and I’m happy to report that that love carries into her sophomore novel—no slump here! Returning to this very contemporary world that is coated in the mystical was like coming home. The love and care Rebekah gave her debut continues to shine as she tells Cadence and Sydney’s story and allowed me to immediately become attached to them. It’s clear from the start that these two women carry trauma from their childhood, but they have been wildly independent as they’ve grown up. The chemistry between them is constantly sizzling just under the surface and it is everything I could have asked for when I think of sapphic yearning. Cadence as a character stood out to me especially as a fellow daughter who felt like their mother controlled many aspects of her life. While our worlds are incredibly different, I felt every part of Cadence’s journey through the story—with the way she felt the need to run away and rebel against Moira to the eventual (if still slightly strained) acceptance of her behavior. If you’ve read THE LOVERS, you’ll be happy to see a few familiar faces return to the page as happy and in love as they were when we left them. I had a deep hope that we’d get a cameo or two, but it was still a pleasant surprise to actually see it happen. And the way Rebekah was able to weave them into the actual plot of this standalone story is masterful, allowing new readers and old alike to experience the story in much the same way. And, of course, we can’t not talk about Chicken. Chicken is perfect and wonderful and stole the show. He is living his best life and making us all fall in love with him from start to finish. We stan Chicken. Disclaimer: I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher for free and have voluntarily written this review.

Tender, sexy, and a little magical in the best way
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I think I just found a new favorite author because The Sun and the Moon by Rebekah Faubion had me hooked. Cadence and Sydney’s parents suddenly get engaged after just a few months of dating and neither of them are thrilled. Cadence’s estranged mother is a well known psychic who once told her exactly how she’d meet her soulmate… and meeting Sydney feels way too familiar. Sydney’s close to her dad and skeptical of this fast moving relationship. The two of them team up to figure out what their parents are hiding, and the deeper they dig, the stronger the tension between them becomes. Oh and how can I forget the one bed scene I loved the partners-in-crime vibe, the bisexual rep, and the immediate chemistry between Cadence and Sydney. Their chemistry felt natural — flirty, sweet, and emotionally rich in a way that made me root for them instantly. The banter had me smiling, blushing and I loved how they challenged each other while still offering comfort and understanding. Plus? Sydney’s a pilot. Cadence is a park ranger. The vibes are IMMACULATE. ⭐️ 4.5 stars This book completely delivered. If you love queer romance with emotional depth, a little mystery, and characters that feel real, add this to your TBR immediately.

4-stars: 'The Sun and the Moon' by Rebekah Faubion
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
I enjoyed reading The Lovers last year and was eager to read Rebekah’s new book, The Sun and the Moon. Gorgeous covers always draw me in, and both books have stunning designs. After reading the synopsis, I knew I would enjoy this one. I love stories where opposites attract and soulmates are destined to meet. I loved getting to know Cadence and Sydney as they met at their parents’ engagement party. Cadence doesn’t have a close relationship with her mother, but she tries to find out if her mom is up to no good. She meets Sydney, whose father is marrying Cadence’s mother. Sydney is curious about her father’s quick engagement and agrees to help Cadence uncover the truth and possibly stop the wedding. As they spend time together, their undeniable connection grows, suggesting their meeting was fate. I enjoyed this Sapphic Romance and its engaging storyline. The chemistry between Cadence and Sydney was enthralling. I understood both characters’ skepticism about their parents’ wedding. Cadence’s concerns about her mother felt clear, and while investigating, she also becomes protective when it comes to her mother’s business. I understood Sydney, too, who simply wants to protect her father, whom she admires. Both struggle with their parents getting married at first, but ultimately become closer to each other and their parents as truths are revealed. The book focuses heavily on Cadence’s mother, sometimes overshadowing other elements. Still, I enjoyed the soulmates storyline between Cadence and Sydney. Overall, this book earns four stars from me, and I look forward to reading more by Rebekah Faubion. Single/Dual POV: Dual POV. Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you like Sapphic Romance with two FMCs who are opposites and destined to meet, I definitely recommend The Sun and The Moon. What to Expect: ✓Sapphic Romance ✓Opposites Attract ✓One Bed ✓Soulmates
