Sometimes, it's just easier to think I'm not the freak. I'm just in an alien world. . .

Being Charles James Stewart, Jr., AKA Charlie the Second, means never "fitting in." Tall, gangly and big-eared, he could be a poster boy for teenage geeks. An embarrassment to his parents (he's not too crazy about them, either), Charlie is a virtual untouchable at his high school, where humiliation is practically an extracurricular activity. Charlie has tried to fit in, but all of his efforts fail on a glorious, monumental scale. He plays soccer--mainly to escape his home life--but isn't accepted by his teammates who basically ignore him on the field. He still confuses the accelerator with the brake pedal and as a result, has not only failed his driving exam six times, but also almost killed himself and his driving instructor. He can't work on his college essay without writing a searing tell-all. But what's freaking Charlie out the most is that while his hormones are raging and his peers are pairing off, he remains alone with his fantasies.

But all of this is about to change when a new guy at school begins to liven things up on the soccer team--and in Charlie's life. For the first time in his seventeen years, Charlie will learn how it feels to be a star, well, at least off the field. But Charlie discovers that even cool guys have problems as he embarks on a deliciously sexy, risk-filled journey from which there is no turning back. . .

"The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second is a funny, honest and engaging book, told with attitude and style. Drew Ferguson is a talented writer with great comic timing, and an eye for the absurd." --Bart Yates, author of The Brothers Bishop and The Distance Between Us

"Drew Ferguson's debut novel is equally funny and smart, and will strike eerily familiar chords in anyone who remembers the edgy, frustrating, sex-obsessed days and nights of high school. You'll love his narrator, Charlie, and you'll also love this book." --Scott Heim, author of Mysterious Skin and We Disappear

"Look out Napoleon Dynamite, here comes Charlie the Second In this page-turning laugh riot, Drew Ferguson captures the voice of Today's Teen conquering the daily drudge that is Life in the Midwest. Colorfully candid, unapologetically explicit, yet touchingly tender, The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second serves as a reminder to those who've escaped from Small Town USA as to the reasons why " --Frank Anthony Polito, author of Band Fags

"A terrific debut novel. Drew Ferguson is one of the most authentic new voices in contemporary fiction." --Steve Kluger, author of Almost Like Being in Love

"Written in a fact-paced diary format, Ferguson has created a beautiful and moving novel that literally has you laughing out loud one moment and shedding tears the next." --Arthur Wooten, author of On Picking Fruit and Fruit Cocktail

"Lots of blurbs in lots of books promise "laugh-out-loud hilarity." This book delivers. With Charlie the Second, Drew Ferguson has created a memorable and original character undergoing the perils, confusion, and humiliation of adolescence. Between onanistic sexcapades that would make Alexander Portnoy blush, The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second is an engagingly accurate portrayal of the highs and lows of growing up and figuring out who you are." --Brian Costello, author of The Enchanters vs. Sprawlburg Springs

Drew Ferguson received his MFA in creative writing from Columbia College, Chicago. His work has appeared in Blithe House Quarterly, The James White Review, Hair Trigger, The Great Lawn, and other publications. He currently resides in Chicago.

The new amp/speaker configuration made a very noticeably positive difference.
Size: Pair, Size: Pair
I bought a Denton amp / Klipsch 7 speaker bundle for Christmas last year. It sounded impressive. For this year, I recently replace the Denon AVR-S970H, a 5.2.2 POS-Amp that quit after less than a year. Then I also added a 70” TV and a set of R-51M’s on the sides. I could never hear this amp driving the Dolby Atmos speakers on top of the R-625FA towers, so I decided that back speakers would be more beneficial to this 7-channel system. I’d been using the R-41M’s that came in the bundle as side surround speakers, but I was thinking that they would be more suited for use in back. So I replaced them with a new set of R-51M’s that I thought would be better surround sides because of their fuller stronger sound. As of now, at the front of this theater system is an Onkyo TX-RZ 820 AVR amp, a 70 inch LED 4K smart TV, a set of Klipsch R-625FA towers, an R-52C Center Channel Speaker, and two R-12SW Subwoofers. For the surround sides is the newly purchased set of R-51M’s on stands, and mounted on the back-wall is the set of R-41M’s, using BS-218pro Wall Mounts. For good reason, this is a very powerful amp driving a complete set of purely Klipsch speakers. I built this THX 7.2.0 surround sound system to go in my wife’s 11’ X 12’ privacy room, specifically because she is hard of hearing. She said, that with the new additions, the sound is much cleaner, stronger, the 3D surround effect is more noticeable, and the vocals are easier for her to understand. I get to use it sometimes when she’s not at home. Thunder in movies sounds as crisp sharp and loud as real thunder. All around, the system is very realistic sounding. And it can play music, shaking the house at live levels. At present, my wife and I are extremely happy with this system. It sounds as good as it looks. The Klipsch speakers & Onkyo amp configuration makes a very noticeably positive difference.

Quality shrink tubing.
Size: 4.8mm (3/16") - 26Ft, Color: Black
This seems to be solid quality shrink tubing, shrinks well, and holds firmly. I have used it for a few projects so far and am happy with how it has performed. The package is larger than I expected, but keeps the tubing from being damaged from bends/kinks.

Amazing shrinking polymer technology= my growing review.
Size: 12.7mm (1/2") - 13Ft, Color: Black, Size: 12.7mm (1/2") - 13Ft, Color: Black
I recently tried out the TKDMR Heat Shrink Tubing, and it has proven to be a game-changer in my cable management endeavors! As an OCD handyman who values organization and neatness, I was on the lookout for a reliable solution to streamline my cable/wire setups, and this product exceeded my expectations in everyway. *Ease of shrink (5/5):* One of the best features of the heat shrink tubing is its ease of application. The tubing is remarkably pliable, easy to cut and straightforward to work with. The simple process involves sliding the tubing over the cable and applying heat, whether from a heat gun, lighter or even a hairdryer! The tubing quickly shrinks snugly around the cable, providing a tight and professional-looking finish. Even for those new to DIY cable management, the learning curve is minimal. *Versatility (5/5):* I was pleasantly surprised by the versatility of this heat shrink tubing. It accommodated various cable sizes and shapes, making it a versatile solution for a range of applications. Whether dealing with computer cables, audio cords, electrical box wiring or even small electronic components, the tubing adapted to the different sizes seamlessly. The only slight drawback is that extreme size differences between cables might require different tubing sizes for an optimal fit, This tubing is rather large, but shrinks very small when done carefully. I have fixed many action figures and dinosaurs' broken arms to the delight of my son! *Durability (5/5):* Once applied, the heat shrink tubing forms a durable and resilient layer around the cables. It provides an added layer of thick protection against water, wear/tear, etc. safeguarding cables from potential damage due to friction, bending, or exposure. This durability is incredibly beneficial for long-term use and in environments where cables may be subject to constant movement or handling. Especially useful for reinforcing phone charging cords! I'm looking at you cheap apple cords. *Looks (5/5):* Beyond its practical usage, TKDMR Heat Shrink Tubing significantly enhances the aesthetics of cable management. The tubing creates a sleek and uniform appearance, concealing multiple cables into a tidy bundle. The matte finish looks professional and modern, elevating the overall visual appeal of any setup. It's a small detail that makes a big difference, especially for those who value a clean and organized workspace, or computer cable management! *Value for your hard earned Money (5/5):* Considering the improvement it brings to cable management and the quality of the product, this Heat Shrink Tubing offers excellent value for money. The quantity provided in each package is generous, ( a little goes a long way) and the overall durability ensures that one application will last for years. While the initial cost may be slightly higher than alternative cable management solutions like zip ties etc., the long-term protection benefits make it a worthwhile investment. *Overall Impressions:* TKDMR Heat Shrink Tubing has proven to be a highly effective and reliable solution for many purposes. Its ease of shrink, versatility, durability, and aesthetic enhancements make it a awesome product in the market. Whether you're a tech enthusiast, DIY enthusiast, or just someone looking to tidy up your living or working space, this heat shrink tubing is a must-have! Not to mention the satisfying process of shrinking tubes onto wires. I recommend this heat shrink tubing to anyone seeking a practical and visually pleasing solution for cable organization/wiring maintenance!
