Quick Facts

  • Origin: Ilam, Nepal · 4,000–7,500 ft elevation
  • Type: Authentic Nepali chiya · Whole-leaf black tea base + real whole spices
  • Spices: Real cinnamon, ginger, clove, and green cardamom. No flavoring, no extracts
  • Caffeine: Medium-high (~40–70 mg per 8 oz cup, about half of coffee)
  • Brew: Stovetop chiya, café-style latte, or iced masala chai
  • Best With: Whole milk and a touch of sweetener (traditional Nepali method)
  • Taste: Cardamom-forward bakery spice over malty Ilam black. Bright, not muddy

The Nepali word for tea is chiya. More than a chai, chiya is a daily ritual: black tea simmered with milk and warming spices, drunk from small glasses across the Himalayan foothills from sunrise to sundown. Our Nepalese Himalayan Masala captures that tradition with a smooth, malty Ilam black-tea base layered with real whole spices (cinnamon, ginger, clove, and green cardamom), never extract, never flavoring.

Brew it three ways: stovetop with milk for traditional Nepali chiya, café-style chai latte with a milk frother, or double-strength over ice for iced masala chai. The high-elevation Ilam base means the spices taste bright and aromatic, not muddy and over-sweetened like commodity chai blends.

What Makes the Best Chai Tea?

Three things separate the best chai tea from the supermarket kind, and they're exactly where most chai blends cut corners:

  • Real whole spices, not "natural flavoring." Cardamom pods, cinnamon bark, ginger, and clove release bright, layered aroma. Flavor sprays taste flat and one-note.
  • A whole-leaf, single-origin black tea base. Most chai is built on commodity tea dust that turns bitter and muddy under milk. High-elevation Ilam whole leaf stays smooth and malty.
  • A blend made by people who grew up drinking it. This is the chiya recipe of Nepali kitchens, spiced for balance rather than for masking cheap tea. Curious about caffeine? Read Does Chai Tea Have Caffeine?

Reliable Heat Tape That Works Perfectly – No Residue and Great Value!
Number of Items: 4
I bought the MEBMIK heat tape for my heat press projects, and it’s been fantastic so far. The tape holds up well under high temperatures without melting or peeling, which is exactly what I needed for heat sublimation and vinyl pressing. What really impressed me is that it leaves no sticky residue on my materials, so I don’t have to worry about ruining my projects or cleaning up afterward. The tape is also easy to tear by hand and sticks firmly during pressing. With 4 rolls included, this pack gives me plenty of tape for all my projects, and the price is great compared to buying smaller amounts elsewhere. If you’re doing heat press work and need reliable, heat-resistant tape, this is a great choice.

This is the best sublimation heat tape I have found. I started buying bigger rolls of it as I bought these smaller rolls when I first started. Stick and hold good works well
