Jacob Adam ROOB and Anna Maria DECKER, married in 1832 in Lorentzweiler, Luxembourg, made the difficult decision to uproot their children and journey to a new land of promise -- America.

A flood of immigrants surged to the United States from Luxembourg and the rest of Europe during the 19th century. As farmers, Jacob and Anna felt they had no future in a country where the population was growing as the size of their farms was dwindling. Poor harvests only contributed to the urge to search for a brighter future. At the same time, there was a perception that America was a sort of paradise, where there were opportunities for social advancement, land ownership and political freedom.

Jacob and Anna and others like them sought a place of refuge similar to their homeland, and they found it with the numerous other Luxembourgers who settled on the rich Midwestern farmland of Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.

While this story documents the actual events experienced by Jacob and Anna in Luxembourg and the United States, it also illustrates the courageous journey undergone by the couple and others like them. Anyone curious to learn more about the lives of their 19th century European immigrant ancestors will enjoy following Jacob and Anna from Lorentzweiler, Luxembourg, to Belgium, Wisconsin.

Documented with actual incidents drawn from Jacob and AnnaÕs lives, this story is also filled with more general facts illustrating the immigrant experience as they struggled to find a better life for themselves and their children.

Most importantly, its drainage system directs water into the tank, keeping it dry.
Color: Black, Size: Medium
This drain rack is small and fits perfectly on the edge of my sink. It's just the right size to hold hand soap and dishcloths, doesn't take up much space, and most importantly, it directs water directly into the sink, keeping it dry and keeping my sink clean and tidy.

Good product
Color: Black, Size: Medium
It is as described, looks neat and tidy on the sink. Just big enough to do what I need it to do. My sink stays dry because the wate goes back int the sink.

It is almost great.
Color: Black, Size: Medium
It is a nice sponge holder but the tray is not wide enough and it falls. Because it was the only one I found with a spout, I am keeping it, and figured a way to stick it so the tray doesn't fall. The other thing is that the tray is not sunken enough in the middle for all the water to be routed there, and the spout doesn't always get rid of all the water inside, so once in a few days, I have to manually press it down and more water comes out. The dishcloth rack is not great for cloths, they get wet. Other than that, it looks very nice, it is aesthetic, big enough for all my kitchen stuff, and makes my kitchen neater, so I like it.

Love this product very convenient
Color: Silver, Size: Medium
This was great to keep all my brushes, cloth, detergent and scrubby together and neat. I love the drainage and it looks clean. The only thing I don't care for is the bar that holds the cloth comes off all the time. Other than that it is great.
