In an attempt to summarize MERCHANDISE, the basics will suffice. What began as a standard three-piece punk band has turned into something else entirely. Over the years the band has changed from a trio to a duo and back to a trio again for last year's Children of Desire LP. That album, entirely self-recorded in the band's Tampa, FL home, did much to expose Merchandise to a greater audience. Pop sensibilities were more in the foreground than on the band's earlier releases. Music journalism institutions such as Pitchfork, NME, Spin, and Stereogum have all written extensively about the band, foreshadowing great things to come. Merchandise's new record Totale Nite is another evolution in their sound. The band sounds like they've aged years between records. These five long-form songs are more focused and nuanced than any of their previous efforts. Pop hooks with an experimental bend are found throughout. The mark of the underground punk/noise community is still easily detectable in their music, but broader sounds and influence see the band turning into an entity of it's own. Past comparisons to the Smiths, Joy Division and the Jesus and Mary Chain (while not totally invalid) aren't quite accurate when describing this record. Echoes of Roxy Music, Miles Davis, Merle Haggard, and Franco Battiato enhance the band's post-punk core. The record received a stellar mastering job from the influential SONIC BOOM (Spectrum, Spacemen 3, etc.) and is augmented by full-color art by SHAWN REED of the Night People label. The band will be touring extensively in support of this record. Two full US tours, two European tours and appearances at many major international music festivals are scheduled throughout 2013. As of now, a fourth member has been added to the band on live drums.

Decent price. Needs improvement.

This frame was a good price. And for that price it was good enough, but not perfect.
The directions do not match the stickers on the pieces. But if you match up the stickers and ignore the directions, its not hard to assemble.
The metal slats are to far apart to prevent mattress sagging. They are also very smooth an the mattress would easily side out of place.
The headboard looks great. The metal is solid.
In order to fix the mattress sagging and sliding, I opted to make some cheap bunkie boards. I got some thin utility board from the local hardware store. It was damaged and only cost 5$.
Cut 77" by 12" was the right size. Drilled holes and zip tied to the metal slats. Random holes for ventilation.
It seems better now, only time will tell. They should update the directions and add more slats.

Sleek, Sturdy, and Easy to Assemble: Zinus Kai Platform Bed Frame Review

The Zinus Kai Bamboo and Metal Platform Bed Frame with Headboard was a solid choice for upgrading my bedroom. The assembly was straightforward once I sorted out the parts (always a little organizing required), and the tools needed for the setup are included in the box. CHOOSE a DIFFERENT Bed Frame!!!!

Please choose a different bed frame. My partner and I built this today together and it took way longer than we thought it was going to because the instructions were so horrible. Some of the parts were also very flimsy. It looks good once done but it’s not worth it. I wish I had picked something else. Not to mention one of the wood pieces already was cracked when we opened the box.
