Limited 180 gram vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve including digital download. 2015 release, the fourth full-length album from the stoner/sludge metal band. Purple was produced by Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips). This is the first album to be released by the band following their involvement in the 2012 bus accident that left nine people injured; it is also the first album to feature new band members Nick Jost and Sebastian Thompson, playing bass/keyboards and drums respectively. Their 2012 album Yellow & Green received Best New Music from Pitchfork In addition to headline dates, Baroness has been direct support for Metallica, Mastodon, Lamb of God, Deftones, and Meshuggah. If you are reading the description on Amazon, don't worry, it includes the Annual. Not sure why they decided to not mention that detail.
You should read Action Comics 1050 before reading this, as it sets up the new status quo for Superman going forward, and is important to know in this book if you're coming from earlier Superman stories.
This is pretty interesting stuff so far, a lot of familiar Superman villains are appearing with new twists provided by new players in Metropolis, who seem to have a vendetta against Lex Luthor, or so Lex is claiming. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out in future volumes.

Fun new status quo

This presents a fun New status quo for Superman, as is the norm for a Superman book there's a great supporting cast of characters led by Lois.
Excited to dive into the rest of the series and learn more about the secret history of metropolis that they're seeding here.

Really really good.

The art was super good! The story was good as well. It's always nice to see Superman's villains all come together in one book. Some new players as well. I am excited for this series and I am hooked on the story. Do yourself a favor and read it!

Great jumping on point

I haven't read Superman in awhile but overall tus was a great place to jump back in.
The story is accessible without ignoring continuity. The artwork is very nice and the story moves at a fast oace.
