These boards are not listed with a factory preservative treatment, so we recommend applying a suitable exterior preservative, decking oil, or stain shortly after laying, paying particular attention to end grain cuts made on site. This will protect the timber and maintain its appearance over time.
What length should I order for a standard garden deck?
The 3.6m length suits most standard garden deck widths and produces less waste on smaller projects. The 4.8m board is better suited to larger or longer runs where fewer joints are desirable. Measure your joist span carefully and add a small allowance for trimming before ordering.
