The Sitka Spruce and Victorian Blackwood tonewood combination is a hard one to beat! Sitka Spruce is articulate and demonstrates wonderful velocity control whether playing hard or soft. Victorian Blackwood has beautiful sweet sounding high end with overtones that ring out beautifully on lead lines, and doesn't overpower when being strummed. The Maton Guitars EBG808C Nashville's "C" shaped neck is comfortable and thinner (like an electric guitars) making it easy to play for 4-hour gigs without getting fatigued or tiring out your hand. If you're not already convinced, the Maton nut width measurement sits at a comfortable middle ground nut width: 1.736 - right in-between the US standard nut widths of 1 11/16" and 1 3/4".
A Maton is not complete without their AP5 Pro Pickup System. The AP5 Pro is the best acoustic pickup system in the world and features a cardioid microphone (on an adjustable arm) combined with an under-saddle piezo that blend together to create an authentic (yet very customizable) acoustic guitar sound!
