Cool foods in a flash with the Traulsen Specification Line RBC50-50 50 lb. capacity undercounter blast chiller with 6" casters! An essential part of any HACCP plan, this versatile blast chiller moves food through the temperature danger zone quickly to limit bacteria growth that can cause food-borne illness, while its undercounter design saves valuable space.
The Traulsen RBC50-50 comes with easy-to-use SmartChill microprocessor controls, which give you access to 3 chilling functions: "blast chill" for quickly cooling foods, "soft chill" for delicate products like seafood and produce, and "freeze" for holding at temperatures as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit switches to the holding cycle automatically after completing a blast chill cycle, making the entire chilling process easier to manage. Additionally, the controls aid in HACCP documentation by letting you record and print all required product chill cycle information on adhesive labels.
The interior of this blast chiller features 5 sets of universal tray slides, and each slide accommodates (1) 18" x 26" sheet pan or 12" x 20" x 2 1/2" food pan. For added convenience, the door is self-closing, and includes a stay-open feature when opened past 120 degrees.
A 1 hp compressor circulates eco-friendly R-404A refrigerant, and high density, foamed-in-place insulation contributes to outstanding temperature retention. Its front breathing design allows zero clearance installation in tight spaces.
