To remove the base just push its two buttons and the it slides easily out. With a seed tray attached, you can remove the base and leave the tray! One easy step for quick cleaning! This feeder has an antique brass cap and base, 10 feeding stations, is 2.75 inches in diameter, and holds 1.75 quarts of Nyjer seed!
