The mega popular ZMan PrawnZ Elite pre-rigged soft plastic is considered by many to be the ultimate pre-rigged prawn imitation. Aussie anglers are renowned for their tinkering however and we have had loads of requests for an unrigged version, allowing anglers to fish it lighter, heavier, and weedless.
After much R&D we are proud to unveil the PrawnZ Elite Unrigged in 3.5” and 5” sizes, designed to perfectly carry a standard ‘J’ hook style or weedless jighead. Key features have carried across from the original, including the durable construction, ultra-realistic profile, segmented body and cupped tail, for a natural tail kick, and those legs to provide that incredible vibration on the sink and retrieve.
To make rigging this extremely durable, 10X Tough, ElaZtech plastic quick and simple, PrawnZ Elite Unrigged features a pre-moulded rigging channel through the centre of the main body for standard ‘J’ hook style jigheads, while a deep belly rigging slot and top hook pocket make weedless rigging simple, while also ensuring effective hook clearance on the strike.
In terms of rigging on a standard TT HeadlockZ HD jighead, the 3.5” model pairs perfectly with 3/0 or 4/0, and the 5” model with a 7/0 or 8/0. When weedless rigging on the range of TT ChinlockZ, ChinlockZ SWS and SnakelockZ jigheads, a 3/0 or 4/0 best suits the 3.5”, stepping to an 8/0 in the 5”. These rigging options allow anglers to fish from unweighted through to 3oz, making the ultimate prawn imitation even more versatile!
